Privacy Statement M@
At M@, people come first, and that includes properly protecting the personal data of our clients. This privacy statement explains how M@ safeguards your privacy. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@m-et.nl.
To further guarantee independent privacy oversight, M@ has appointed an external Data Protection Officer (DPO): DePrivacyGuru, N.J. Mookhoek, telephone: +31 (0)85-2223232, info@deprivacyguru.nl. Registration number with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens):

Personal data
To provide you, as an employee, with the best possible service, M@ staff record certain personal data. In addition to your name, address and insurance details, this also includes medical information. Data may be collected during (telephone) conversations with an absence management specialist, during consultations with occupational physicians, during preventive medical examinations (PMO), or otherwise. M@ also receives personal data through your employer, for example through a sickness report, a request for a labour expert assessment or a request for a medical examination. We record this data for the purpose of your absence management (reintegration) or medical examination.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your data
As an employee, you have the right to access your medical file or to request a copy of it. Where agreed, employees of M@’s clients have access to their digital employee file, for which they have received a login and password, so they always have access to their (medical) file. This right of access does not apply if information in the file concerns other persons and would violate their privacy. The personal working notes of the occupational physician are not part of the medical file and are therefore not covered by your right of access. For more information, please refer to the website of the KNMG (Royal Dutch Medical Association) on access to medical files.
In addition to accessing your data, you have the right to have your data corrected or deleted. You can submit such a request via info@m-et.nl. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, and in any case within 4 weeks. This written request will become part of your file. Absence-related data will always remain in the file until the retention period has expired, after which the file will be destroyed.
Sharing with others
In principle, M@ does not share your data with others. However, M@ may be required to share your data with another party or organisation on the basis of an agreement or regulation. M@ does so in accordance with the applicable regulations. There may also be a valid reason or obligation to do so, such as sharing data due to a legal requirement or legal proceedings, to protect the rights or property of M@, to prevent a crime or protect national security, or to protect the personal safety of users.
Retention period and security
Employee data is not kept longer than necessary. Medical data is in principle kept for twenty years, or longer if reasonably necessary to provide responsible services.
Our protocols and procedures specify who is authorised to access personal data and when. All M@ employees who process or otherwise access employee data are bound by confidentiality.
Only authorised persons have access to M@’s (digital) data files. The employees concerned log in to M@’s computers with personal login codes, and use separate login codes to access the system through which our services are provided.
